What did i do

I'd add the following. Check the choke. Sometimes those mechanical chokes fail impacting idle. Also, just went thru similar issue with my neighbors boat. It was losing vacuum at idle causing it to run horrible and stall at idle. Turns out the carb was not mounted properly. At idle it lost vacuum. Good luck
 
My idle valve stuck on my 2 bbl Rochester. would not idle at all. Be careful when if you need to free it up. I believe the rod is not service able so if you work it a but with some WD40 it should loosen and move freely.

The new fuel reeks havoc on the floats and valve in a Rochester if they sit for awhile.
