I think 83 was the last year for Ivory hull color in the SR line. I need to patch some areas on the hull and can't figure out what to tint the gel coat with to get close to Ivory. Anybody tried it? White+______? Yellow+______?
I have had good luck matching the color when I have painted metal parts with Ivory paint. Would that work in small areas?

Vern,

Is it ivory or sand? You are going to hate this, but the best source of info is going to be Paul at the marina or perhaps John in parts. Failing that, try calling Sea Ray customer service with your HIN# and ask them to look up the color.

Then, Spectrum makes a lot of gelcoat patch kits in popular Sea Ray colors. After about '88-90, they supplied Sea Ray with gelcoat, and I am told they also have colors for older boats as well.

Hope you guys are well............

Good to hear from you Frank, long time. I'll try to track Paul down. I don't see anybody over there since I am not at "that" marina anymore.

And you guys............

You could take a elephant tusk in & have them color match it ..........your welcome

I emailed SR customer service just a couple of weeks ago with my HIN# as Frank said and had the spectrum color, stock # ,and manf # the next day.

Good, I'll try that. I checked the original dealer checklist and the hull and deck are listed as ivory.

*They have the color match that you need, its called marine tech. This stuff is great I have used it a couple of times. You can get a color match that you put in for the right color needed. Look on ebay it there.
