All my winter projects were low budget with about $100 or less for each one. I tried to pick things I knew I could do myself without too much damage...
  • Replace Halon automatic fire suppression system
  • Replace engine cover support struts
  • Replace battery with a Group 29 hybrid
  • Install Smart Tabs
  • Replace bilge blower
  • Replace bilge pump
  • Replace 4 stereo speakers
  • Install remote trim switch

New SS water heater
New Plugs
Oil Change
Wax and more wax
SS manifolds (almost completed)
New side panels (isenglas)
New anchor rode (still need to do)
Recaulk a few items (still needed)

I'm going to quit typing now beacuse I still have way too many things to do this year and it's making me sick(er) just thinking about it.

Let's see some pics of your SS manifolds

Well this year I made 4 changes. Switched my 2 12 volt house batteries over to 4 6 volt Trojan golf cart batteries, upped my charger to 80 amps to cover the extra amp hours, added underwater lights, and switched out most of my interior cabin lights to LED. What did you do?

Other than all the normal maintenance items and a new 2009 (still in the box) two stroke 15HP Yamaha for the dinghy, just replaced many lights with LED's.
I have had a tough time finding lights that were the right color for the salon though....either too white or cast a "greenish" tone to the wood. If you have a recommendation on the G4 bulbs you found, I would appreciate it it! Thanks

Both props calibrated
Replaced transducer for smart craft depth display
Repaired Auto Pilot course computer
Replaced water psi sensor
Repacked both rudder glands
Replaced dripless seals on shafts
Replaced one shaft and coupler

We are all a true testament that passionate boaters are true economy stimuli!!!!!!!!!! :smt038

New impeller in the Westerbeke genset (my Galley Wench did the work).
We had some tile added in the galley and both heads to break up the monochromatic color scheme. It was done by a friend who does tile work for a living. We picked the colors before we went to AZ and he did the work while we were down there. The tile is a wavy tile instead of just being flat pieces, and the colors in the galley are slightly darker than those in the heads.

So far...

1. Replace complete canvas package with custom canvas (glad I haven't had to do this before $$$)
2. New cutlass bearings and engines aligned
3. Replaced main breaker switches in galley electrical panel due to burned out bulbs
4. Considering replacing cockpit cup holders with stainless (looking for pics and links from anyone who has done this)
5. Cleaned and caulked inside of dash since Sea Ray could not figure out how to do it and only caulked about 2' forward on the port side

That is it for now other than countless hours of polishing.

The winter here was so mild that we put about thirty hours on it, In between boating weekends I did some cool upgrades:
  • New Sony head unit, JL amp, JL speakers and JL sub that sound awesome
  • I installed a swim platform from swimplatforms.com which is so recent that it hasn't seen the water yet
I took the boat to the mechanic this week for the annual maintenance and it promptly emptied all of the drive lube into their parking lot so I am waiting to hear what that is.

1) New faux teak deck from: tt.custommarine.com (really terrific company to deal with!) – Looks and feels great just have the caulking to finish off (will post pics when done.)
2) 5 Isinglass zips (front and sides) to save taking it down in the FL heat when underway.
3) Fitted shade for the front of Isinglass to block heat into cockpit when moored.
4) Finally fit the Nautley dinghy ramp we’ve had since last December (had to really fit the teak deck first to make a better job.)
5) Underwater lights
6) Last year all new canvas, bottom paint, engines overhauled, cutlass bearings (and anything else mechanic could lay his hands on….ouch!)
7) 2012….Try and recoup bank balance from above J!

New Isinglass
Extended the anchor chain
Usual scheduled engine/leg maintainance

Soon to order 4 blade ss props.

Tore out RL80, VHF, Tridata and RN300. Replaced with an e97, an e95, AIS, Sirius Wx, 4ft open array and new VHF. Compounded, waxed, and new name/hailing port. Anyone have a spare oar? not sure I'll be able to afford gas now!

Pulled the shafts & replaced both cutlass bearings & repacked packing.
New HDS 8 chartplotter gps w structure scan.Replaced sewer hose.
