I'm replacing the exhaust manifolds on my 7.4. I read a post that had a great tip, it was to remove 2 bolts and replace them with 2 long bolts with the heads cut off to be used as guides. Does anyone know the diameter and thread size of the manifold bolts? I hope to do the job next weekend and would like to bring the guide bolts with me and save time. I did a search and was not able to find it I know it's out there somewhere. Thanks in advance.

I used a 3/8" threaded rod cut to 5-1/2" to do my manifolds. I cut a slot in one end so I could use a screwdriver to tighten and remove. I have the 4.3V6 motors. Hope this helps.
