So 1.9deg this past Saturday morning. .5" of ice coating everything here in Mount Airy all day yesterday. By 10pm yesterday evening ...rocketed up to 41deg and an avalanche of ice off the roof all night that sounded like a herd of rhinos running off into the sunset.

NOW....back down to 8deg tonight with a 40MPH+ wind at 9:13pm, and a low headed to 5 with a windchill at 17 below????????

Wake me in March please! :wow:

The Northeast really needs to prepare for the next Ice Age! Screw Global Warming....that was always a bunch of BS.

I don't understand all this cold talk. I am in Southern California for work this week. It was 78 degrees here. Good thing I brought shorts.

Sitting in our lake house about 40 miles NW of Atlanta right now. A balmy 9 degrees with a wind chill of -4. I think Alaska is warmer.

19 degrees in coastal Beaufort, SC at just after 6am. But my garage is 41 degrees so the 175 sport is safe in there. I planned to sell my Xtreme bilge heater from the 300DA that I had in VA. But since I had it, I put it in the 400DB engine room last night.

-1.1deg in our shed now.... the windchill readings above 2000' is going to be in the neg 40s! Wearing shorts and flipflops seems like so distance in the past now.

2 degrees here this morning in Columbia MD, probably the coldest I've seen in the past 25 years for a low temp. If this is global warming I I'd like to see it when it cools off a bit. LOL

A little chill in the air here this morning -13 air, -37 wind chill. I am sure that some of our friends further north have a little more chill in the air!

Supposed to be headed to Emmitsburg (Mount St Mary's) on Sunday for a visit and some lacrosse. It was postponed in early December because of winter storm. Looks like temps will be warm enough but will there be snow on the ground?

I run 20 miles a week and today is supposed to be a 5 miler. It's now only 23, but I am heading out the door for the run. It will be my coldest ever. I never run outdoors if the temp doesn't start with a "3". But I sold my treadmill when I left VA figuring I would always be able to run outside. Pretty sure my snot is going to freeze.

Blowing 30+ last night and this morning was in the upper 30's. If it gets any colder I'm moving to Florida. :smt043

Most of the snow was washed away when we got the nasty rain and 40+ degree day during the weekend. Although the Mount is higher than we are in Mt Airy so it's hard to say. I have read that Saturday is supposed to now be in the 50s!

Hope my antifreeze holds up to this bitter cold. Dealer used -50C in lieu of -60C or -100C claiming that he had drained the water out of the block prior to filling it with the antifreeze and therefore the block would be protected with the -50C. I guess I'll know if that was the right call come spring.

Two weeks ago in northern Alberta where I work it was -40 air and -58 with the wind. The past few days it has been -30 with - 40 windchill. Can't wait to get home and see the 290 it's 42 for highs and 32 for lows
