Westerbeke Gen Set

I have a 4.5 Westerbeke Gen in my 2002 310 Sundancer.
There is a hose with a plastic tee and what looks like a vent tie wrapped to the coolant bottle.
Is this for flushing or running on a water source?
I'd post a pic but have no luck doing so on this site.

Any help appreciated.
