I think my cooling system is not working properly on my generator. I've got great water flow. Just changed the raw water impeller, thermostat, "radiator" cap, zinc and cleaned it the heat exchanger. My exhaust manifolds feels too hot after about 10 minutes of run time, would burn fingers after a few seconds. When I feel the elbow it's cool except directly in the center. I tried opening the bleed valve but nothing really came out. Could it be the engine water pump? Or just air entrainment. My next.step will be to flush the cooling syatem. Any thoughts?

I would pull the manifold(s) off and see if the water jacket passages in it/them are clear.

Start with her exhaust elbow. Marine generators run rich because we seldom run them loaded, The end result is carbon fouling in the elbow whis is the most restrictive spot in the exhaust system….and also the cheapest part to replace.
