My Westerbeke generator has performed nearly flawlessly since I have owned it (1400+ hours). Thursday I went to start it at the remote start switch on my electrical panel in the salon. It started to turn over, stopped and went dead. The switch at the panel no longer started the genny and the switch would not light up. I went to the genny in the engine room and after fooling with it, found that the 20 amp 'button' breaker on the front of the unit had popped. I reset it and attempted restart. It would turn over, begin to run then pop the breaker again, not allowing it to run. Any thoughts on what would cause this? Thank you!
