Thanks all, will be going on the hunt for the stop switch on rear of panel box and also the 8amp fuse holder later in week when next down at boat. Will report back.

The 8amp fuse on my 10bdta model is a glass barrel type fuse in a gold on the side of the panel where the gauges would be on the generator itself and the stop start switch is right next to it. I’m fairly certain it calls for a slow blow type fuse as well

Hi all, got to boat yesterday and yes switch at rear of gauge panel box in off position. No idea it was there. Mechanic must have inadvertently switched off during completing work. At first couldn’t get saloon remote switch to operate correctly and genset seemed to have continuous power (oil pressure alarm continuous regardless of remote bypass switch position). After numerous switch positioning and start and stop of genset came right. Tested again today and all good. No sign though of 8 amp fuse. Intriguing how models/year can vary.
