Just looking to see what others have done here. Not sure all the prices yet was wondering what others have done. Would you get a new or rewound generator end? Who has the best deals? Thanks Eric

Yes full fielded it lugged motor down and smoke from winding's. Broward armature is one of my options. There are several generator threads running, one is mine (10BTD), and my experience with Broward Armature (good). Are you positive the back end needs to be re-wound?
Can you pm me a ball park number. ThanksBroward is very well regarded.
I used https://hansenmarine.com/ they offered new or factory reconditioned. New was only a few hundred more.
I self installed, wasn’t bad.
Thanks i will probably give them a call tomorrow and see how much a new one is. Ya i looked at parts break down looks pretty cut and dry.Three or four years ago..
I recall $2800ish + $300 refundable core for new.
Install was no special tools or skills.
I’m a Westerbeke 7.0 BCG gas powered.
Thanks for your help will order it tomorrow great place o deal with.I helped my dock neighbor replace his backend on a 1995 45 dancer diesel Westerbeke. Same process, got it done in the ER. I removed mine to make it easier.
