While working on getting my new rails installed, I must have hit the end of one of the switches for the oil pressure system, but I'm having trouble identifying exactly which one it is so I can order a replacement. It is attached to the oil pressure sender, so I would assume it is the oil pressure switch, but looking at the parts diagram the switch has 2 leads to it on spade connectors, but the part that I broke has a single ring terminal connection. Any ideas which one I broke?

Here's mine:

Here's the parts manual:

Did some more digging in the manual and under the "Camshaft - Gear Case" section I found an assembly for an Oil Relief Valve, which seems likely what it is given that it's attached to the oil pressure sender. I don't see a screw lead on it though, and it's not shown anywhere on the Electrical System section, so I'm stumped. I may just order parts 37-40 and see if that looks correct, unless anyone can positively identify it.

Three instruments, right?
Oil pressure dashpot for the OP gauge.
Oil Pressure switch for the generator's shutdown loop.
Oil Pressure switch for the Sea Ray Systems Monitor.

The OP switch for the Systems Monitor was added by SR during installation and won't be shown in the Generator's manual.

The switch with the single wire goes to the SR monitor and the switch that should have two wires on it is the OP for the generator shutdown.

Ok, thanks, that makes sense. It does closely resemble the oil pressure relief valve in my 2nd post though, just without the electrical lead post on it (at least in the manual). I have contacted Westerbeke to see if they can help with the identification of it.

All you will be able to see as far as the relief valve is a hex plug and it is further down below closer to the crankshaft.

Listed as part # 37323 and Amazon has it for about $50. I'm assuming both of the LOP switched are the same?

Westerbeke support was very helpful, they responded within a few minutes and I was able to send them the same pic I posted above. They confirmed that it's not a Westerbeke part, and was added by SeaRay or the delivery folks. I think that points me to the SR Systems Monitor switch.

Dave, that part number you referred to I think is the Westerbeke switch for oil pressure, but that has the 2 spade connectors. My broken switch only has the single terminal for a ring connector.

Then I think about any low pressure switch will work.

Maybe something like this..

I searched on here too for System Monitor Oil Pressure and found this thread: http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php...da-kicking-my-arse.102186/page-2#post-1199817

In it, @ZZ13 mentions going through troubleshooting on his generator and actually replacing the aux switch when the problem was actually the other switch. I wonder if he still has the old one, and if it looks like the one in my pic above.

David, thanks for the Amazon one, I'll go look at that one in the meantime.

All this switch does is complete a circuit of the systems monitor if the oil pressure is low. Mine run around 45 psi, so I think this might get you what you need.

I think they are normally closed and open once they see pressure. Mostly they work the idiot light...lose oil pressure, switch closes, light comes on.

I still have the auxiliary oil switch somewhere. I’ll try to hunt it down. Might still be in the boat it was needed for. But it’s Westerbeke part number 011552 and is a two wire switch for the 8.0 BTDA.

The aux switch works opposite of the safety shutdown oil switch. The aux switch is open above 10psi and the closes at low oil pressure to signal the System monitor. The safety shutdown switch is closed above 10psi and opens at low psi to break the run circuit and shutdown the generator.
