Hey guys,
Well, it's official.
My lovingly restored 390 EC now belongs to Docofthebay. My boys have grown into other interests and cruising/boating hasn't been in the cards for them for the past year or more; so four years after moving "up", it's time to move back "down". I rigged her to be a great fish/dive boat, but that's alot more boat than I need to fish.
For now, I'm still part of the Sea Ray Club, as I've taken Doc's 1988 300 DA in trade. She's being hauled to FL next week, and Doc will be taking the 390 on her own bottom first to Pensacola, and then on to Mobile the end of next week.
I haven't seen the 300 in person yet, but a ton of pictures shows she's a beauty as she's been recently restored as well. Ultimately in the fall I expect to be looking for a CC to get me to the Middle Grounds and back (75 mi) for a day trip, but who knows- I may end up keeping the 300 for a while, at least. No lift yet- I'll have to see about that, so she'll probably be in high and dry when she's not being used and docked in the backyard.
So, welcome Doc- you'll get to love the smell of diesel and the whine of the turbos in the morning!
