Weekend getaway on FL east coast

We keep our boat in Daytona and usually do weekend trips North up the ICW but were wanting to try to something different and head south. Anyone know of any good places to go for a weekend south of Daytona Beach?

Captain Hiram's in Vero Beach is a good place to dock your boat and they have good food. They have bands on the weekend and the folks at the dock are all friendly. It is a fun place to hang out. We were there for the 4th of July last year and had a blast.

We live about 2 miles North of Highbridge, in Flagler Beach, on the ICW. When you are up this way stop and say hello.

We are planning to make a trip down to Melbourne this Spring. We plan to go down the ICW and take the barge canal over to the Indian River and find a Marina to spend the weekend.

You take the ICW all the way down or go out for any of the trip, how long would you guess it would take to make it down there from Daytona? Thanks for all the input.

When we left Captain Hirams on 7-5-8 it was about 10:30am and we stopped for fuel at Cape Canaveral and arrived in Flagler Beach at approximately 4:00pm. We went out at Sebastain and ran outside the entire way. We must have arrived at Ponce Inlet around 2:30.
