weaver davit instalation help

Hi i have a 1995 sea ray 29,and it has the short transom.
I am looking at fitting a set of weaver davits for my 75 pound dingy.
Method i was going to use is.. drill through platform,place anti slip on base of spring clip and place bolt through.
Place a steel plate on underside of platform with antislip,and bolt up tightly of course plenty of waterproof sealant in between.
please advise me if this would be ok to do or another suggestion .

Not sure what you mean by antislip. You need to make sure that the bolt holes are well sealed both sides so water does not penetrate the swim platform core. I used sealant in the bolt holes, under the davits only around the holes, and used large washers with no backing plate. For a 75lb dingy I dont think a backing plate is necessary. If you do, use lots of sealant under it.
