Curious if anyone has done a replacement of the Berber carpet with the vinyl weave products. If so, how do you like it? Also, if you have a source for precut online that would be appreciated as well. Looking for replacement for a 2003 SD 220

I don't think most companies work that way (sending the carpets to them). But you could ask them. You're still going to want to get a dry-fit template.Thank you. I did find another thread on the subject. I'm going to weave instead of the glue down eva. I would be far too pissed if it didn't live up to my expectations and i was left with a freaking mess.
couldn't i use my current carpets as templates? they fit perfect or perfect enough for me.
We replaced our 2000 era berber with weave from Corinthian. Great people to work with (plus a discount when you mention you are a CSR member!). Initially, I "traced" my existing berber onto 6 mil plastic, but was unhappy with how far off the resulting templates were when I rough fit in my cockpit. The lesson here is there are no shortcuts. Ultimately, I ended up spending A TON of time perfecting my templates using 6mil plastic (it doesn't stretch) to get the new ones just how I wanted them.Curious if anyone has done a replacement of the Berber carpet with the vinyl weave products. Reach out to @Quint4 on this. I sent him my carpets and he made replacement Infinity weave PVC flooring. There are several options for backings, so get samples.I don't think most companies work that way (sending the carpets to them). But you could ask them. But you certainly could trace your carpets.
Shoot, I totally forgot about him! Yes, reach out to him!Reach out to @Quint4 on this. I sent him my carpets and he made replacement Infinity weave PVC flooring. There are several options for backings, so get samples.
We love ours, it has been fantastic. The stuff is bullet proof stain wise. We went with a lighter color because I had read that the darker colors can get hot in the sun. We have not had that experience. YMMV. But I can't say enough about how good of a job @Quint4 did on ours.
FWIW, I didn't do snaps OR hook & loop...I can always add the snaps later if I have to. So far, after our first full season with the new woven carpets, we have found they really don't move around much, if any.Ok, sent a message to @Quint4. You're right...I will do the templates. I do like making them fit to the very edge to keep dirt and leaves out of the cracks. I'll do the templates using my current carpet transferred onto 6mm plastic but will leave it long and custom fit it before sending it off.
As for snaps...what about having hook/loop installed and taking the snaps off and filling with 5200?
Looks like a I have a winter project after all.
If you decide you want to go the Corinthian route we can help you out as we are authorized dealers for them. I would go the custom template route since you will know exactly what you are getting.Thank you. I did find another thread on the subject. I'm going to weave instead of the glue down eva. For me, I decided it would be more work to remove the snaps from the fiberglass and fill than it was to purchase the proper snap installation tool and install the snaps in the flooring. It took about 90 minutes all told. No need to puncture the flooring prior to installing the snap with the correct tool. YMMV.Ok, sent a message to @Quint4. You're right...I will do the templates.
