For many years I have used a weather radar app called Intellicast HD. It has been overtaken by the Weather Underground Storm app. The Intellicast app was as close to live radar as I have ever experienced and the radar itself was presented on a very large percentage of the screen. Storm shows on about half of my screen, with ads and temps on the remainder.

What is the best iPad radar app?

What is the best iPad forecast app?

I use Raindar and it is, IMHO, a very good nearly real-time app that isn't cluttered with ads, and is fairly quick to respond to zoom and map movements.

I use MyRadar. It's very easy to use, you can zoom in and out, slide the image in any direction, turn on wind speed arrows and/or temps. Ads are very unobtrusive.

On iPad and iPhone I use app called radarUS+. Almost full screen and very accurate. I view it in super res radar mode.

Which myradar app are yee referring to? There are several: myradar weather, myradar noaa weather, myradar pro noaa weather.

The app I'm referring to is Radar NOAA weather.

Besides MyRadar, I also like RadarScope. RadarScope is good for zooming in to a small area, and features storm tracks that enable you to see where active cells will be in 15 minute increments. We've used those tracks countless times to make go/no-go decisions when we're at anchor. It also allows for selections of different types of radar displays such as different tilt levels and base reflectivity vs. composite or super-res reflectivity. While I can't even explain what all those do, I can say that it allows you to declutter and see where the worst of the weather is coming from.

Dark Sky has been my favorite weather prediction app for awhile. Typically will alert me to rain starting I the 20 to 5 minute range. Also lets you know how long it should last. Does have a radar display, but have only used it occasionally.

I'm in the outdoor business. Work at a golf course and I own a landscape business.

I have 5 weather apps on my phone. MyRadar is my go to. Storm Radar is second.
