After a long arduous search, i found a very sexy low hour 2006 340 with a pewter hull.

Delivery is set for next Wednesday or Thursday!

Since the boat is still under factory warranty, it's going to Marine Max today for a full systems check.

GUYS: IS THERE ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR I SHOULD HAVE THEM REVIEW OR SHOW ME, IE DEPTH FINDER SETTINGS (DOESN'T HAVE SMART CRAFT MONITOR/DISPLAY) ANY POTENTIAL PROBLEM AREAS?

ALSO, NOW I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO POST AN AVATAR AND PICS WITHIN THREADS

Congratulations, and wish you many happy years on her.
She's a beauty!

She's a beauty....love the color scheme.....good luck...

You can add a Smartcraft Systems view 5000. Look on ebay...that's where I got mine....$750 with cables, connectors, etc....

Congrats! great boat. I was looking at that one myself on Yachtworld.com. Pewter hull/ black canvas is an awesome combo.

Well done. The 340 is one that Sea Ray got right. I've only sea trialed the boat, so I am no expert, but with the 8.1s she comes out of the hole quickly and rode well in 2-3' slop when we were on the sea trial.
Read your owners' manuals front to back, learn the boat inside and out, and do the little maintenance items well, and consistently, and she will give you many hours of enjoyment.

DiMisa1977 -- Congrats on the 340. We've had a 2005 340 since June of 2005. It is a great boat. It handles rough water very well and with the 8.1's she really pops up on plane. There were a couple of annoying salon lighting issues I had the dealer "fix" -- one of which depends on whether you have the large tv in the salon. The other had to do with the lights in the forward berth -- I had them re-wire so the two lights with "off switches" on the base always had power -- otherwise the only way to use the reading lights was to turn on the overhead lights above the front lockers. Let me know if you don't have the big tv in the salon and I'll describe the other lighting issue.

Again, congrats...we really enjoy the 340....

Congrats - like your taste :smt001

Your chartplotter should be a C80.
Ours came with just the chartplotter as well, and we added the radome.

Good luck!

First off, congrads!

Second, it looks like you have the Smartcraft SC1000 tachs and speedo - these gauges have a small LCD display that can display depth (if you have a transducer, which I bet you do). They can also display a lot of other things. Your best bet is to have the dealer walk you through it, although it's not hard to figure out and you can even download the manual from the Mercury website.

As others have said, it will be very easy for you to upgrade this system the the larger SC5000 display.

My advice - run the boat, learn what you have and then at the end of next season decide if you still want to upgrade.

Oh yeah - and enjoy!
