I have a 340 DA that I am the 2nd owner. The previous owner had it waxed evey year so it is in great shape. I want to continue having it look pristine. The boat has one season worth of oxidation above the rub rail (light amount, not bad at all). Shine below is perfect.
How do you recommend I clean it and wax it to keep get the mirror image shine?? What polisher? and should I use a random orbit buffer?

I suggest you ask this identical question at different parts of this board.

We like it when people do that. This keeps things good and confusing.

Oh, wait, never mind. You already did.

what are you taliking about?

I believe Presentation is just giving you a general overview of the site etiquette. 1) always post info in your signature, year, engines, drives, genny, cool mods, etc.. 2) always use the search feature first. There are many posts talking about different waxes, Porter Cable polisher, etc. 3) Don't continue to post the same thing on different forums, most of us read the "post in last 24 hours" and will see your post no matter where it is. This is a quick rundown that will get you more results. If guys see it posted multiple times they will just skip over it. Good luck on your search, there are plenty of posts about this subject. I believe Jeremy has a long, very detailed post which should give you a good starting point.

Excellent suggestions.

340DA,
There is a ton of information on this site, on this very topic. If you search a variety of key words (eg "Porter Cable" "Makita" "Clean Gelcoat" you will find all that you need to know to get your boat looking good. You also need to update your signature to include the model and year of your boat, engines, and importantly, where you boat. This information will help formulate more accurate responses to your questions.
