I brought my Achilles rib dinghy home last weekend to repair one of my Weaver davit pads. With the little boat on dry land up on a set of saw horses, I decided it was a great time to throughly clean the boat. I used my trusty Boat Cleaner Pro on the tubes to get them clean and with the dink upside down, I cleaned and used some Meguiar’s carnauba wax on the hull. I got a little of the wax on the tubes and noticed how nicely they now shined so I waxed them also. I must say, the boat has never looked better.
I did a little Google research and found this article that suggests wax is ok for the hypalon, but every other article wants you avoid “automotive products”. Has anyone else here on CSR used wax on hypalon??? If so, how did it hold up?
