Does anyone know where the sea water temp sensor is on a 2006 225 weekender, Mercruiser 5.0L 260 hp bravo 3. The Smartcraft constantly reads 120 degrees.
Thanks

It's built into the transducer.

I'm not sure what he has Dennis...
He has posted several times, all with different boats... everything from a 260DA, 200 BR, 240SD, 225WE, to an Amberjack!

Gee, I wish I had that problem, Jim!

let's not be too quick to judge...it could be he is looking at boats to buy and determining the amount of work needed on each one to correct the known issues.....

his profile info says he is in the market for a boat.....

I just looked at his posts. He apparently owns all of the boats Jim mentioned - including both an '01 and an '04 240SD. I noticed he also has never responded back to anyone's offers of help. I'm out until there is an explanation for what feels like a bunch of Tomfoolery. If he owns all those boats, great, glad to help. Otherwise, it's some troll playing jokes and I don't have time for that.

I wonder if the guy is a shade tree boat mechanic? His posts are all over the place.

you spent a lot more time on this than i did, so it does looks like there is reason to question the OP's intentions....

so i retract my weak attempt to give the guy a little respect.....lets carry on on with the blasting............

you could be right Steve...maybe he has decent mechanical skills and is trying to do some boat repair for hire...

I normally don't do that - but after Jim's comment and thinking more about it, something didn't sit right.

I thought of that, too. But he specifically states that he owns/has the boat(s) in question. If he's a mechanic, why not just say so?

Although... if he is a mechanic... shouldn't those of you that helped him in his threads get a piece of the pie?

I know, lot's of conjecture and no facts. :smt001

Maybe he doesn't want us to know for whatever reason. And I can't remember any one on here who bought a boat that didn't change from "boatless". Heck I'm boatless and still have my avatar up. Can't bring myself to remove it. I know it's a sickness.
