Ok Guys,
This is a good one and I need some quick help. Filled up my water tank today and noticed the front bilge pump alarm going off. I remember that at the end of the season it would happen and then stop. Started looking and pulled up the board under the aft berth. Found a cracked fitting on the water line that hooks to the blue cold water line. The fitting is an elbow 90 with a male end that screws into the tank and a female end that hooks to the blue line. There is a 1/2 " piece of cpvc about 7" long coming out of the male end of the elbow 90. It looks like the cpvc is just glued in the 90. Anybody every see this or have this problem.

Ok Folks,
Another problem fixed. We made another water tank pick up tube to replace the broken one. Took a cpcv 1/2" 90 and drilled out the male end so that a piece of 1/2" cpcv fits perfect into the end. Then glued that in place and screwed that into tank. Exactly what factory did except the cpcv is much less brittle than the DWV 90 that they used. Next we adapted the black coupling to a proper fitting that has the washer in the end and glued it to the 90. Attached the blue water suction hose and it was done. Also replaced the chincy 2x2 top supports with pressure treated 2x4's. Can't imagine building a $265,000 msrp boat and using scrap lumber and the wrong fittings. Guess they figured no one would ever see it.
