Water Spot Help

Probably need a little more info. Where are the water spots? Have they been baked on by the sun? Is this on the white or a color band?

Normally, water spots should come off when you wash your boat (if it is well waxed and they have not been baked into a color band).

For spots, I normally use 3M polish/wax - it's a one step product that has a mild cleaner and leaves some wax when you are done.

In your experience, what polish works best for water spots?
A very easy and cheap way to remove water spots before waxing. Vinegar. Yes, off the shelf white vinegar mixed 50/50 with water. Spray down the boat first, apply the vinegar mix with your normal boat wash brush, let it sit for a few minutes (do not let it dry on the finish), use your brush again to scrub a bit, rinse. The mineral deposits melt away just as the vinegar cleans your coffee pot. Easy and cheap, no rubbing and polishing required.

Vinegar works well, but be careful. My buddy did something wrong and his stainless emblems turned yellow. Of course that was on a Chaparral...Simple Green is also very good.
