water pump

good morning,
over the years I have changed my fair share of water pumps in the foot of my outboards and
outdrives... I just changed one on the alfa 1 gen 2 while I admit they are a bit tricky this one went back in after a bit. when I started her up I was only getting water out of one side of the exhaust.... any ideas or answers anyone has would be great...

If you pinch off the hose, on the flowing side, that goes to the manifold will it come out the dry side then? Maybe something went wrong with your install and you just don't have enough volume.

good thinking, I'll try that tonight when I get home. as to the install, anything is possible but for the life of me I can't see how it would pump water to only one side from putting in a new impeller

The 2 hoses that feed the 2 manifolds originate from the same source. Water will take the path of least resistance.

yes, and that could prove that the fork is plugged on one side, or the hose itself is plugged
