This is going to be a little long but I need help. I am also a new member. I have a 2000 SB 400. I have an issue with my fresh water. When I commissioned the boat this spring I filled the fresh water tank. Soon after turning on the pumps the tank drained. I closed all open bibs etc and all the water is draining not pumping out via the last small drain hole on the starboard side. The pump seems to start at random and then empty the tank. It is not going into the bilge and I cannot find where the leak is. The pumps will pressurize as normal and then sometime later maybe an hour turn on and pump the tank dry. Any ideas?

Check to make sure the bilge is dry in all areas. Then make sure your toilets are sealed and not sucking down any water. That could be a combo of bad seal and bad water supply valve on the toilet. Look over the whole boat and make sure you have ALL the faucets closed. There are hidden ones such as in the transom locker, bilge and anchor rode storage locker.

Thanks for your input. I turned off the ice maker so there would be no demand from it. I also closed every valve I could find and the bilge is dry. When it pumps out it is coming from a gravity drain not the bilge. Any ideas would be appreciated. Trying to fix this myself before turning it over to $$Marine Max.

What about the T & P vavle on your water heater? My valve went out last year(and it drains overboard) and drained my water tank. It was a simple and cheap repair.

I'm with Jeff on this one. I just ordered a new valve for mine because it's doing a meduim/fast drip and the water pump cycles about every 10 minutes. Everything else is dry.

Is the T&P the standard drain valve? It looks to me like anything that would leak is on the front of the panel where I can see it. And it would go into the bilge.

The pressure relief valve on mine has a hose attached and dumps out on the starboard aft side of the boat. Don't know if yours is set up the same or not.
