I've searched through all the topics and can't find anything on this topic. My dock does not have fresh water that I can attach as hose to wash off my boat. I've decided after a few years, it would be nice to install a pump to the lake water so I can at least wash my boat, filling up my fresh water reservoir is another issue.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a pump or anyone have experience doing this?

Are you installing this on your boat? Or you looking for something portable? The portable ones, in my experience, lack enough pressure to do a good job.

Jabsco, Johnson Pump, Attwood and ShurFlo all make very good washdown pumps. One isn't really better than the other. Most of these are all available as "kits", as well, with an inline filter, hose and nozzle. If you didn't want to install the pick-up through your hull (ideal), just make sure to check the "self-priming" specs to make sure it's sufficient -- then you can just toss a pick-up hose over the side of your boat into the water when you want to use it.

Check Lowes and Home depot, they both have 120V submersible pumps. Used one all the time when we were on a lake.
