Hi All,

I have a 2006 sea ray 200 select with the merc 5.0 mpi and alpha 1 drive. I just started using it this weekend for the first time this year (it ran fine all last year), but now I'm getting a sensor fault message (and two beeps every couple of minutes) on the smartcraft display, it tells me that the water pressure sensor is faulty. All engine vital signs are normal, ie oil pressure, oil temp and water temp, and the engine runs fine, so I dont think I have a real problem, more likely just a faulty sensor or corroded connection.

Does anyone know whereabouts on the engine the water pressure sensor is, so I can have a look at it and see if its corroded etc.

Anyone else had this problem? I did mention it to a guy at the marina, and he reckons he's seen a few fail recently due to fouling as the boat is left in the water all year round.

Thanks

julian
