I have a leak in the main salon. It is coming from somewhere on the deck. Not sure if it is the screws that hold the windshield to the deck, the two deck rails, or the skylight.

The water is coming out of the overhead light fixtures closest to the skylight, so this leads me to suspect the skylight or windshield screws first—- I would like to remove some of the headliner to inspect but don’t know where to start. Any advice or guidance would be appreciated.

Before you try removing the headliner i would get an upholstery guy that does boat interiors to come down and advise. Just saying.

That’s a good idea. Ty.

i also had this problem with mine before i sold it and i sealed the windshield screws and replaced all the rubber track pieces this seemed to work mine would drip down by the drop down tv

Thanks Todd. I think that’s the source of my leak. The water is dripping from the light that’s closest to the windshield and I also can see the rubber gasket/screw cover is shrunk.

did you back out all the screws, put some 4200 on the tips and than reinsert each one? Also did you get the rubber gasket/cover from SeaRay Man on eBay, or do you have a better source for it?
Thanks in advance,

Michael

I was just going to add to my comment that is what i did and yes i did buy it from sea ray mans ebay site i also removed the old caulking along the windshield and recaulked it. Good Luck

Can you take the trim ring off the skylight? You can see if the water is coming from there and if there is water damage to the deck. The foam on the backside of the vinyl will be wet. You’ll have to dry that out. I used a spray adhesive to secure the headline back to the underside of the deck when I rebed the hatches on a past boat.

20 years ago I had a 330DA. I started to get water in a cabinet which was below the windshield. I took each screw out, cleaned the area, squeezed some caulk in the hole and replaced the screw. No more leak.

I also replaced the screw cover. Order a bit more than you need and let it sit in the sun for at least a week before cutting and installing it. It shrinks.
