We had a Large amount of rain the other day i took the cover off of the boat and the WHOLE engine compartment was FULL of water and the center of the boat had a lot of water in it to....the carpet was soak as well.

I DID have a cover on the boat but the plug was in as well.

Im just wondeirng if that is normal? Do i just have a HORRIBLE cover? Granted we did have a lot of rain.

What kind of covering did you use??? and those were very windy days, was the covering tied down good enough??? evendentially something was amiss....

If you are sitting on a trailer you might want to pull the plug so this does not happen again. Try waterproofing your cover.

Store your boat on trailer "bow high" with plug out. Hopefully your starter or alternator was not submerged or your gonna have problems. You obviously have a big leak in your cover.

Cover is practically new. Only used a few times. Its a $50 cover from wal mart but seems to be pretty tough.
Is there a spray i can put on the cover to make it more water proof?

I live in NC and we got about 6inch of rain and water sat in the cover for 1 day until i could get to it and check it out. The post in the middle of the boat fell over and filled the cover with water, but there was a lot of water trapped in the cover that i had to pyhon out.

Oh yeah i did have the plug in to. That was probably the misstake other than the cover not being good enough i guess.
