I have a 88 sundancer 300, heater I guess is orignal. What will fit in the hole all the new ones are square, the old is round and lays on its side. It is 13 inches from bottom of compartment to bottom edge at the opening.

Your best bet may be to look online and find the dimensions of a new heater and see if it'll fit. I replaced mine on my 250. They are a bit bulky, but it's not too tough of a job. One thing I did was to bolt it to plastic spacers to slow corossion from trapping water between the heater and the floor.
