Water distributor housing actuator rod bypass

My water distributor housing failed due to a faulty winterize. The guy wont fix it fine. I got a new one. Apparently taking it out the old actuator rod bent or something. Ive seen on here people just bypass or remove it anyways. How do I do that? Now instead of the housing leaking the orange nipple at the bottom just drains the motor the whole time its in gear.
