New to the forum. I tried search function and google and was unable to answer my question. I am new to boating. Recently purchased a lake home and am searching for a 20-22' searay bowrider. The water depth at my dock is 7' at full pool. What is the minimum water level to safely operate 22' searay select? I believe the draft is about 36". Is that with the prop tilted full down? Probably closer to 42" with fuel, passengers and stuff? Just trying to figure out at what depth should I no longer store boat in my slip. Would 4' be a safe decision? The water level on lake lanier fluctuates and I just don't want to get caught by surprise. Thanks.

That would be full down. You should be OK in 4 feet... trim up and get even more. (Scott beat me to the punch!)

Wow, thanks for the quick responses. Greatly appreciated. 757s put out a nasty wake. ATL controllers do a great job spacing my stretch 737-800 from the big boys. Now I just need a boat. Thanks again.

the only airliner i can fly is a virtual one on xplane 9 .I'd love to learn, maybe in a few yrs,,,,????

Not another pilot! :smt021

I thought this was a boating forum

(Just kidding Windshear )

Love that airplane, it was the first and only airliner that I had the priviledge to check out as PIC on. Sadly the airline I worked for went bankrupt two years later, and I found myself starting over at AirTran, and now in seniority hell at UPS. Maybe by the time I retire, I'll see the left seat again.

I have two buds at UPS. One was recently displaced out of MIA to Anchorage. You are at a great place long term. 12 years at Delta and I am still jr. FO on the 73 in ATL. Thanks again to all of you for the responses. When I find a boat, I will post pics. Come on Spring!!

I think boating and flying attract the same kind of folks-
I works for me - 14 years at SWA :)
