CNN will be filming a piece on PWC safety tomorrow morning, live at 6, 7, and 8am eastern.

The film crew will be on a 2000 240SD with about 200 hours on the ticker to film the PWC rider(s). Perhaps you'll get a glimpse of the 240SD.

Guess how I know this?

That's very cool, hope they give you a copy of the tape.

I am in the PR business. If you want a copy of the clip digitally. You can buy it. I can help you arrange it. There usually around $150.

Go real slow...........................make some huge waves...................and the PWC guys will find you!

One of my pet peeves since going from a 240SD to a 260DA is the PWC guys won't leave me alone. :wow: These guys just love big wakes and love to jump them and they can be a real nuisance to boot. :smt013

Wait till you go to a 320. :smt101 I have become much more popular with the PWC crowd. Can't imagine a 40' plus...

Are there really that many water knats on the water that early on a Thursday??? Seems like you could make a cover story out of it if you filmed early on a Saturday...

They seem to come out of nowhere.
But since I've got a couple of them myself I don't mind

Guys... I tried to delete this thread as it wavered off the mark. They are doing a piece on how to safely operate a PWC, ie rules of the road etc. Far from bashing them, it is a piece on how they should be operated.

Mods, please delete the thread if you can.

Well now we know! Now the thread can go in the direction you want.

We are just having fun.... I just sold my PWC - I was safe - but I always loved a big Sea Ray making some wakes.

You're letting CNN on your boat??? Make sure you clean it well after they leave.

They did try real hard to clean it but after Micheal Moore used the head, they had to leave ASAP.

So how did it go?

Fairly well. 6 separate live shots, 3 "teasers" and 3 live segments.

Started at 5 am, then shot at like 6:40, top of the hour, 7:30 ish repeat.

Was funny watching the tech guys fight w/ the producers fight w/ the reporter.

Basically, we shot live off of my boat w/ the on camera types on the swim platform showcasing inflatable life vests and imploring all you idiots to wear life jackets.. hehe.

I just had to keep the boat steady w/ the wind/current etc to hold the shot and keep the sun at the right angle and kill the engine when they jumped on the platform for a full shot.

And yes, life jackets were worn.
