Hello. I am wondering if the Waste Control System Key switch should be ON all the time when using the boat, or only when actually using the Head? With the power to the Head, and the Freshwater on, does this keyed switch activate the Vacuum Pump? We want to make sure it is going on the tank and not overboard. We do have the Macerator and I do not want to be using that.

The waste control switch is on to use the vacuflush system. In order to use the macerator assuming you have one the thru hull valve must be open(Coast Guard says inshore must be locked in closed position) then you have to turn the key and hold it in run position. You'll hear the macerator run as it pumps out.

Thank you. Do you normally leave the key "on" for the Vacuflush as well? Or only when using the head. Does it matter?

As long as you don't have a vacuum leak, you can leave it on. If you have a leak, it will constantly cycle.
