Wanting to put a circular shower curtain (instead of the one that only covers the door!). Thought about using flexable tubing and, attaching to the fiberglass ceiling, by using waterproof velcro.....has anyone tried this "technique?" Would sure appreciate any ideas! Thanks!

interesting idea, but can I ask what you are hoping to accomplish with this modification?....the bathroom is already very tight space wise and this would likely make it feel even tighter....

My assumption is that he wants to prevent the whole head form getting wet while showering. I guess hes thinking of a shower curtain like those found with a claw-foot tub. While novel in idea i think it would be hard to accomplish and quite cumbersome.

...so, did you use velcro, to attach this, to the ceiling? Due to the fact that my husband won't put holes in the fiberglass, this would be the only option.....and, yes, I understand why one of the responders noted that it would be "cumbersome", it sure would be a lot better than getting everything wet! I would take the existing curtain down (the one that covers the door, only) and, keep the "new" curtain tied back in the existing spot.....thanks for the input!

No velcro....I screwed the track to the fiberglass overhead. The brackets are pretty small and so are the screws. I think I used a #6 x 3/4". The holes are pretty small.

I'll be at the boat tomorrow and I'll take a few pics. Look for them sometime tomorrow evening.

Took a few pics today of my forward head and how I installed the shower curtain track. This is a combo head/shower and I disliked using it cuz I had to wipe everything down after a shower. I came up with this idea:

Curtain stowed

Curtain in use

Curtain in stowed position

Track detail

Installation was pretty easy. I ended up having to buy more of the curtain holder/rollers. To make the radius on the track consistent I used a can of chili as a form. he track bends fairly easy and bending it around something as a form prevents kinking. I used #6 x 3/4" screws.

Nice install. Another one of those 'why didn't it come from the factory that way' type of upgrades, IMO.
