Greg, I have found it by-far, easier, cheaper, and better looking, to have one cut and routed out of starboard. (1/2 or 3/4") Looks great! Will last a lifetime.
I have a 300 WE that was missing the anchor chain locker door, and a 300DA that had an intact one. I used the intact one for a patten, made two, one for each boat, throwing (or selling) the original!
A company called Cessany Plastics on Ebay will cut to your dimensions.
