I have been looking for a radar arch for my 1985 30' Weekender without much success. I want an OEM Searay arch rather than a tubular one. Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who might be able to help me find one? I really appreciate any assistance.

Thank you!

I am looking for one for my '81 sundancer with no luck,I dont want the tube kind either. you would think there would be a aftermarket fiberglass co. that made these,I think they would sell quick.

As I understand it, Searay made these arches in-house (the Searay customer service rep I spoke with today told me that back in the 80's, if it was made of fiberglass, it was made in-house). Not sure if this is 100% true, but I would have to assume so.

Needless to say, the molds used to cast these arches are no longer available. And there might be some type of copyright infringement that would become an issue with an aftermarket shop trying to reproduce OEM arches (once again, my thoughts only, not a fact).

I am thinking that my only hope is coming across one at a salvage yard. I have called salvage yards from Michigan to Florida with no luck.

I'll implement a $100 finders fee to the CSR member that puts me on to an arch for my 30' Weekender :smt100

have you tried greatlakesskipper.com they had a few arches that may work for you.I think you want 102" width right?Ok i just looked again and they have a 106" aluminum i have heard these can be either squeezed togeather or cut a nd rewelded to fit .its under 1000.00 without shipping.

I appreciate the lead. I have been to the site, but it's not quite what I am looking for. I really want to find a fiberglass OEM Searay arch. I want the boat to retain as much of a "stock" appearance as possible. Appreciate the thought, though!

I think you could get an arch from a 34'EC to work with some modification, I have a 1989 300WE with the arch. The only difference in style is the angled section at the base, other than that a few inches out of the center width should do it. Boating Headquarters at Lake Shore & 44 has an 86 34', parting out. It sank in the Grand a couple yrs. back. Still had the arch last I saw it. They're always high with their prices but you can talk him down easy.
Good luck.

I forgot, another place to check is South River Yacht sales in St. Clair, MI. They were parting out a 30' dancer (mid 80's) with an arch, but that was last spring.

Hi Jacc,

Thanks for the leads! I emailed South River Yacht sales, so we will see what they come back with. I will try calling Boating HQ tomorrow morning.

Do you dock at the Lagoons? Would love to see some pictures of your 30' Weekender. Maybe we can meet up for a beer this summer! I always have cold beer at the dock here in the Chagrin!

There is one on ebay right now. Not sure what model searay it fits...but it says its from a searay. Good luck
