WANTED: Air Intake Cover

Does anyone have or know where I can get a new Air intake cover?

Click on “Parts search by engine serial number” in the top right corner

Select “Sterndrive/Inboard, Gas Engine, 5.7 liter EFI

Scroll down, click “Throttle linkage”

The cover with out decals = 18484A 3 for $125.83

Decals if you want them = 812776A46 for $97.04

If you don’t mind me asking, why bother replacing the missing cover?

The cover is a looks only thing and when the engine compartment cover is closed you never see it.

As the Admiral would say "It's for the boat so if it's supposed to be covered so shall it be. Cover it and be done with it and we'll both be happy!"

Maybe for the money, consider a K&N Flame arrestor. Or just patiently shop eBay.

I will keep looking around - I do like the look of the K&N Flame arrestor though skolbe it may not be a bad idea. Thanks also presentation for the part number if I go that route...
