I seen that and didn't know if there was a large difference between the two, if nothing else I would message the seller and see if they can get one for a 08.

Lol! Thats way different from a 06.

I don't think it's the year as much as the way the boat was optioned. The graphics in the ebay link are for the optional "watersports" package offered over those years (2006-2010ish?). The graphics in the pic pelborne posted are standard graphics.

you are correct, the decals in the link are for the extreme package that is why they don't match. I have now contacted 3 SeaRay dealers in the state of Florida all to quote me over 4000 dollars for a kit with all the original decal graphics. they of course admitted this was ridiculous but gave me the "hey its Searay". needless to say, I'm not interested in purchasing the graphics anymore and this has left me with a bad taste in my mouth being my first experience trying to obtain a replacement SeaRay part. you would think they would make the price reasonable and the fact that it's free advertising alone. now when I finish restoring the boat, it's not going to read "SeaRay" on it anywhere...

It's true that "boat" sometimes means more $$. But in this case, I don't think it's because it's a boat, and certainly not just because it says "Sea Ray". The problem is that the part is likely NLA (no longer available). Which means Sea Ray physically does not have any on hand. This is pretty common in the marine industry for certain parts to go NLA after about 5 years. There's just not enough demand to warrant keeping a stockpile of a certain product. With your graphics, the price is crazy because in order to get it, Sea Ray would have to go back to whomever made it and do a "one off" which, in turn, means the manufacturer would charge Sea Ray a crazy price (which, quite honestly, is pretty much the norm).

Options... Keep checking online and ebay. Some people/companies will buy a stockpile of this stuff before it goes NLA, hoping that someone comes along down the road and wants to buy it. Another option is having a local graphics company make them for you. Still another option is using a graphic that is still available, even from a newer 185 (or even another model). Or buy the one that was listed above if you like it. Of course, there may be some 'ghosting' due to fading - but a certain amount of that can be masked with a good buffing - and the sun will slowly take care of the rest (most of it, anyways).

But, again, this is not Sea Ray charging $4K for a simple graphics kit. It's the cost of having to have a one-off, special order from whomever made the graphic.
