I have an 1988 Sea Ray 18' Seville Bow Rider/Outboard. I would like to mount an "In-Hull" transducer, but don't know where to put it. I know some boat builders provide a spot for this equipment, does anyone know if Sea Ray did? Or have you done it and where did you mount yours?
Thanks,

usually in lowest part of bilge
you can try first using silicone and verify that you have a reading
once you find right location, clean out silicone, sand flat spot of permanent location and mount it using supplied epoxy

Thank you for your input. I know how to mount it, I need to know "WHERE" to mount it. Are there any secret spots on and 88 Seville where the Mfg. has provided a location for this purpose? ie: like next to the fuel tank under the floorboards, in the ski storage area in the floor, etc.. Thanks

there were located on front of the motor.
there is no designated spot
you should find spot what is solid without signs of delamination
it always was a good choice about 6"-12" either side from center of the boat, but test first

I mounted a through the hull transducer in my '87 Seville under the engine about 12 inches from the transom. It worked perfectly. Make sure you have the puck buttered completely with about a 1/4" of epoxy and be sure that the bilge is dry and clean. Do some extra prep the bilge area of the mount.
