Does anyone have experience on wakeboarding from a 260 SunDeck? I usually have 6 to 8 on board. Looking for a new boat to get me a quick hole-shot and have the room of a deck boat. I believe the engine set up of most of the SunDecks would be under-powered.

Traditional Wakeboarding or wake skating where your being towed with a rope is no problem. We have had 2 - 240 Sundecks and a 260 Sundeck now, all with the 350MAG and Bravo III. 200lbs to 50 lbs is no problem. The wake is good for beginners and Intermediates. Experts want to control the wake so your better off with a true wakeboarding boat if your heading there. But for a couple hours on the lake a couple times a week it is more than adequate.

I would not suggest a Sundeck for wake surfing where your up close to the swim platform because of the dangers with the outdrive. You need an inboard for that.

I spent a lot of time wake boarding off a 26 sundeck in boca Florida. With 5 on board and one in the water she had no issues with hole shot. Pulled me right up. 5.7 merc bravo 3 full fuel. All it needed was a higher point to connect the tow rope. (Tower or pole) kinda felt like the boat was puking u down. Not easy for a beginner to learn but doable.
Got bit by a cuda the last time I was down there a couple years back too

My 270 pulls wake boards with ease. Definitely not underpowered. I have to modulate the hole shot or it will yank your arms off. The size of the wake on a boat this size is quickly tiring though.
