Vinyl Wrap on hull and deck

Awesome wrap, wonder how wrap is holding when you accidentally hit the dock or something....
 
Friend wrapped his hull on a 30' cruiser. Looked great, but got marred and cut easily on docks, etc. Had to cover his fenders in cloth because the vinyl left scrapes in the wrap as well.
 
I have a friend that owns/runs a 32' Center Console in charter service in Florida. He had the hull wrapped but not the deck. A leader, a weight or a big active fish on a line will cut the hull wrap. He just replaces it every winter with things slow down for him. He loves it because he gets a fresh advertising platform every year that he can change on a computer screen with a mouse.

Don't know how it would work out on a 50ft recreational boat, but the wrap guy in Panama City plots 10-15 oversized "bandaids" out of white wrap material that he gives to his wrap customers. He says if you can cover a boo-boo with a 6"x2" "bandaid", then you need to bring the boat back and let him fix it properly. I always smile when I see one of his "bandaids" pass by.
 
Look at the picture of the roof, it looks mighty faded. If you pursue this boat, I would recommend deducting then cost of removing it. Just in case. I would also be worried about whats under it. This coming from a broker.

Not pursuing that boat but it is a curiosity as I really liked the look. I get it about being delicate too. Band aid material is a good idea but its gonna stick out due to the fact the band aid hasn't been weathered.
