So I'm tired of wet feet in the cabin because of the carpet. If anyone has done this could you give me some tips.

dvx, instead of vinyl which can be slippery when wet, have you considered some of the new synthetic flooring materials that look like wood?

I layed down allure flooring in my boat a couple months ago. So far I love the results. As for tips and tricks. There really are none just be patient laying it down. Lots of curves and lots of uneven corners that take lots of time to cut. As described below it's a little slippery when wet but not as bad as I thought it would be. Just be careful which brand u choose to lay down. Some are thicker and are made of a very absorbant material that will swell. Kinda like a compressed saw dust filling. The allure is solid plastic like material that will not hold any water. The hardest part was tearing up the old carpet, leveling off the floor and then trying to match the height of the hatches to the floor.

No more wet carpet and feet.Once you put at floor mat down there's not much to see but at least when it gets wet you can dry it up with a towel. Ops I should have cleaned the dust up from sanding the Bondo to fill in the dips before I too the picture.
