What is a good vinyl cleaner that will not harm the vinyl upholstery? I have Meguiars vinyl cleaner/protectant but it doesn't clean the vinyl very well.

a drill brush with a softer brissle (WHITE) , yellow for hard stains.

and totally awesome from dollar general.... it is amazing and fast.

then some protecting coating like 303.

I started doing this and it's done wonders for my 20 year old vinyl.

I use Zep Commercial 505 degreaser and a soft bristle brush. I coat the vinyl with the degreaser and allow it to sit for 5 minutes. Once it's soaked into the pores of the vinyl I brush the vinyl really well and rinse. Once they're dry I apply Meguiars Vinyl & Rubber Protectant.

I found the degreaser removes the oils from skin and suntan products which most vinyl cleaners aren't designed to do. It's been working for a few years now and the vinyl looks and feels new.

I find crushing Cheetos®, mixing it with red wine, and rubbing it in with your fingers coated with blue cupcake icing works wonders....:smt009

.....or....get yourself a red boat cover on eBay, let it fill full of water and rest on your seats for a couple of days.....thats an excellent way to mask stains too.

Babes.

This stuff is amazing! I'm not invested in them in any way but I've had great luck and have turned on a few people to it. Buy a small bottle and see if you agree.

Thanks for all the replies. I wonder if the purple degreaser is similar to the Zep 505? Do you dilute the 505 at all?

It would be easier to take my buddy's kid out on the boat - Orange Dorito dust all over his hands and then he spilled his "red pop"... I have a rule now because of him...LOL.

For really tough jobs I have used MarineStrip. Works great on Vinyl, Fenders and Shore Power Lines.

Yes - those things happened to me too... Luckily I was all over the Cheeto ®, red wine, blue cupcake mess....What a fun B-day party for everyone, except for the Captain.

as for the red boat cover - I still have pink spots

I don't dillute, just spray it straight on the vinyl and let it sit.

Another option for spot cleaning is a Magic Eraser. It's a little tough to do large areas because they start to disintegrate, but they are excellent cleaners.

I wasn't kidding, this stuff is fantastic and kept our '92 looking like brand new. I shared some with a neighbor and it removed what looked like mildew stains. I didn't expect it to work but he bought a gallon later.
