Is it possible to wire a Raymarine C80 to a cockpit TV. I'm curious to know if I install a cockpit TV could my guest view the GPS/Radar on the TV?

The “C” series does not support remote video, no video output jacks. I would have liked to do the same thing when I added my new TV. You have to upgrade to the “E” series to get video (in and out) support. Big upgrade though.

These models are not equipped with the wide screen C series.

Funny story about guest viewing the radar though. One evening I took a group of coworkers and their wives on an evening dinner cruise. On the way home is was very dark, no moon, just pitch black, so of course I had my radar screen displayed. Well one of my friends wives came up to the helm and was asking me questions about the instruments and the radar / GPS. In the course of talking and looking out for crab pots, she tapped my on the shoulder and said “what is this yellow spot” on the radar, well I looked down and made a quick turn to port and said “something I should avoid!”

It never hurts to have extra eyes on the display!

Did this with the E120. Connected the video out to the cockpit HDTV video input. Kind of neat looking at the display on a 32" TV. Works with a laptop also.

If you're still referring to the old, or "Classic" C-series, it can't be done as stated above.
The new "C-wide" has most of the features of the old "E"- it can be networked (2 displays) and has video support. The new "E-wide" now features a "hybrid" touch screen display.

When I bought a second display I went with the "E" for the video input- an easy way to get the sat tv at the helm without needing to add a television. If you want the video capability, sell your older "C" on ebay and get the new model.
