As any of my northern dwelling boating brethren know, it was one HELL of a brutal winter!! Last weekend was only the second time I've been aboard our boat since last November (first time was the weekend before), but it sure feels great :) Had to jump back aboard to get my final measurements for our replacement poop holding tank which is now ordered. Hope to get it in over the coming days, with the installation to follow shortly. . .

In the meantime, here's a video of one happy captain, down in the bilge :)

Awesome video, loved your enthusiasm.

I assume you will be installing the new holding tank while still on the hard?

If not, you may want to pay attention to how close the exhaust weep hole is to the waterline. When you remove the hose to accommodate the holding tank be sure to plug that hole.

Yes, Pete, the work will be done while still on the hard. Not sure what your Ray has for exhaust, but our 400 Sedan has the underwater exhaust (with low pressure bypass - see my last video posted here on the removal to see what I'm talking about). Both exhaust hoses had to be removed to get at the old tank/install the new one, so if the boat went in the water now, it would sink!

Thanks for your comment - yes, I am very enthusiastic to be back aboard and moving forward. We will be moving onto the boat FULL TIME in a few weeks, so I am pumped!!! Stay tuned . . .
