I am looking for an easy to use video editing software. I have a ton of videos and would like to do the following with them:

--shorten the videos by deleting sections that I don't want
--join video sections together into one longer video
--add music to the videos I've shortened
--be able to upload the finished product to YouTube

What software programs have you guys used and how easy are they to use and how satisfied with the software are you?

Thanks,

GFC

Windows Movie Maker - it's free, easy to use, does all that you listed.

I second what GreatEscape said - Camtasia Studio. Works very well in many formats.

Lightworks. Great software and good tutorials. There is a steep learning curve though.

I've been using Sony Movie Studio which is a consumer version of Vegas. I really liked it. Sony sold the software to Magix so the future of that line is going to be interesting. I've migrated over to Power Director and like it as well.
