does anyone have pics to show of their vhf radios installed? i purchased one and a 8 foot antenna and i'd like to see where you guys have put that. thanks to all. i have a 240 sundeck.

I do not have a picture now, but my radio is mounted down by my right leg just off the floor(on sidewall) and the antanna is mounted on the out side by the throtle. When I get to my boat I will post pictures.

I looked at the helm pics on the SR site and it looks like a flush mount in the dash left of the steering wheel would be a good spot for radio.

I also mounted my radio by my right leg just off the floor(on sidewall). I attached my 8' antena to my bimini top support pole, following the 45 deg angle of the bimini top (aft). That way, when I open the bimini, the antena is stationary. Also, it gives me the ability to raise the antena an additional 5' or so, improving range. It kind of looks better in my opinion than mounting it to the side of the boat, perpendicular to the hull.

We just had one installed in our Sundeck 220.

Crappy cell phone pics - forgot to bring our DSLR when we visited the boat earlier today.
