I believe it is all plug and play if you currently have the smartcraft Sc5000 with gray faded screen like I have. I have not attempted this. If you don’t get more responses from others who have done this, try the electronics thread...

I just did mine. It's basically plug and play with or without SC5000. Actually it is easier without, you just connect the VV harness to the JBox and go from there. If you have a SC5000 you will not need the NMEA 0183 connection anymore . The set up is the must difficult part. I still have to fix pitots and gas tank 3 and 4 errors. You also have to enable Vessel Link to have the SC100 gauges to function. You have to have the right cables to connect the VV to the NMEA 2000. In my case I have a Raymarine NG network as NMEA 2000. I need a very specific cable to do the connection. I was lucky that the local West Marine had it in stock.
