Sea Ray mounted this in the worst place.
Hard to see and manipulate at a standing position.
Worst part is trimming the outdrives and having to switch screens for synchro.
Something we do often.
I would love to have a speedo with the trim guages built in. Or a small twin trim gauge. Is this avaible?

I am limited in the knowledge of current marine electronics.

I NEED HELP!

1. I just installed vessel view mobile. Played with it for maybe an hour.
Not sure its what I want. So far I don't see trim guages, syncro. Can this be done ?

2. System view is ok. I took it out to see if I could change its position.
Its fairly chunky with the big connectors in the back. Does anyone make an enclosure I could gamble mount it?
3 I think the next step would be vessel view 403. But I don't think it would run my gauges.
Can I keep the existing system view and run the vessel view. I have one more port in the junction box under the helm.
4 Smartcraft Connect announced a few days ago. Released 2nd qtr 2021

Looking for a fairly inexpensive solution for now. But maybe upgrade a display down the road.
I also run Navionics on my tablet simultaneously with my original depth/plotter.
The plotter is connected to system view or somehow it gets gps

Thanks if you can fill in any of these ideas!

Moving the sc5000 is problematic as the cables are proprietary and come in one size. Unless you have the skill to fabricate two jumper cables its kind of a moot point. If you do remove the cables make sure you mark/note the plug locations. The plugs are physically the same and it can be a pain in the posterior to have to re-remove the display to set them right.

I looked into swapping the sc5000 to a VV, but scrapped the idea as the display was slightly larger and would still be in the same spot. A question worth asking would be whether the new Simrad mfd displays that are integrated with a Mercrury smartcraft interface will display drive trim. Be careful because too often "trim" refers to tabs and not drive.

Apologies, but I'm confused. Per the pictures is looks like you have a V-drive boat rather than a sterndrive boat? The separate throttles and shifters and no drive trim guages/buttons seem to indicate this. So to answer your question, is it the trim tab position that you want to display? Your sig notes bravo 3's, but I've never seen an I/O with that shifter setup, unless that's just a unicorn?

Yes AJ290 Bravo 3's
System View has outdrive trim on the screen.
Its actually pretty good but just very hard to read.

I called Mercury.
I'm still a bit confused but I do need to keep the SC5000 because they feed the guages on the upper dash. He DID say that I could hide the SC5000 and plug in the 403 they can run at the same time. I 99% believe him!

Under the helm there are two junction boxes I installed the VV mobile in one.
I have one spare.

I can add two smart craft System Link Trim gauges and add them as well

By the way, The SC5000 has some length left on the cable so I can move a somewhat. The junction boxes are mounted behind my panel with all the switches.
My arm barely got in there to plug in the VV Mobile Plug

That would work but it could be complicated in the sense that it sounds like it would still be controlling your gauges. That means any calibration (like fuel tank) would require access to the sc5000.
