Hi I need to replace the vent window gasket for my 98 400 EC. I called Taylor Made and it has been discontinued. Has anyone recently changed their gasket and what did you use.

Changed leaking seal on mine a few months back. Went thru same thing,..seal no longer made... Did some research on the interweb and a roll of rubber weather striping that fit the width and aprox height of the old seal. I dont have the exact info at this time. Of coarse remove the old seal, clean, etc. I installed the new seal with 45 degree corners and then i used a black duct tape from Home Depot to seal the corners better. Works great. In a real heavy down pour i may get a single drip or two.

Did the same on my '97 400DA vent window some years back. Couldn't get a form fitted gasket. Got the bulk basket material for Taylor Made. As long as the profile of the material fits in the window chanel you can make it virtually water tight.
